Memory Box and Bildmalarna Birthday cards…

PamSparksHenry2014Birthday700

Birthday fun with a step card again…for some reason, I just kinda drift toward this fold!  See that cute little kitty?  They have a black outdoor kitty at their house… so cute just sitting there watching for Henry and the other kids!

Grandchildren… so precious.  I still remember the day we met Henry.  He was two and from Ukraine.  You know I rarely post family things because that would be a blog in itself!  Six years ago Henry was the first of four to be adopted internationally into our family.  Oh, the excitement of waiting for them to get to the waiting area of the airport!  He had to be scared!  So many people waiting to welcome him to his forever home!

Precious memories.  I’ll post one picture that I love so much… Henry meeting Grandpa Tim and granddaughter Attie in the background.  Henry hugged Tim for 5 minutes… he already sensed that he was getting an awesome grampy!  : )

Time moves on and he’s 8 already! Since then,  Anya came from Ukraine,  two more from Bulgaria and then you know the story….pregnant and Cedryk was born.  He just turned 2 and he loves tractors and Curious George!

So I had to use an image with a little blonde boy on a tractor!

PamSparksCedryk2-14Birthday

I used Mimo on a Tractor from Bildmalarna, HERE and  colored with Promarkers and Copics. The number 2 is from an old Quickutz die set.  My Perfect Layers Mini rulers and Mat to cut the ‘perfect’ black border around the image… links below and in the sidebar.

On Henry’s card, the It’s Your Day sentiment is from an old set by Hero Arts and the sun is a medium EK Success punch.  I die cut the trees in green and in brown.  I clipped off the leaves on the brown one and glued the brown over the green then… like I did this tree in this video…

This video and card were originally posted HERE.

  1. I love reading about your incredible family, Pam! Can’t believe that Cedryk is already two! Didn’t you ‘just’ send me baby pictures? Sheesh! Love your creations – you are so talented, and SUCH an amazing granny! Keep sharing with us, my friend!!! Hugs…P.S. Our little one’s doing better. 5.5 months, and has finally tipped a bit over 11 pounds!

  2. Such cute cards (and kids…!) I am in awe… you glued all those green leaves one by one!!!! Impressive! (and very pretty). Love the tracker! Will have to look at that one for my grandson! I have time, he’s only 6 weeks old…. :)

  3. Pam,

Simply adorable! I love your family stories! My brother adopted a son from Russia so I understand the joy of international adoption!

  4. More winners!! I love the fold cards you make…..and Mimo is an adorable card!!! Loved seeing the kids too-you need to have a pic of all of them together-to share with all of us. I don’t know how you get everything done. Even though I have more time now….alas I don’t have the energy-ha ha!! Happy Day!!!

  5. Oh the kids will love those cards. You had a bunch of birthdays! I am a lucky one to have you as a very close
Friend and have met so many of your precious ones. Craft shopping with your girls is a hoot …
The pics with the kiddos getting the corn for lunch was fun. Grandma is a job we cherish and are lucky
    To have!

  6. Really loved your technique for getting green leaves on your tree! I tried to copy the sample in the video so I could post it in my Inspiration File but the technology wouldn’t allow. Or (more likely) I just don’t know how to do it! Have you posted this card anywhere else so that I can block and paste it?

  7. So enjoyed reading about the arrivals of your grandchildren. How marvelous your family was able to bring these little ones into a loving, secure home. And a blessing for you all, to have their love in return. Thanks for the fab video showing how you do the tree. Great idea to use the wood grain for some marvelous texture. Don’t have the Marianne die, but I have several MB tree dies. TFS

  8. Oops, realized I forgot to say how much I liked your bike step card too. I am somewhat fold challenged, so I always love to see that kind of card.

  9. I don’t know what I love the most, the cards or the pictures, or the stories. Definitely, the pictures! They gave me a lump in my throat looking at him hugging his grandpa. What a cutie! Your family is pretty special!

  10. Awesome cards Pam. Love the balloon tied on the bike. Too cute!
Your tractor is awesome! I have a very young cousin that would love this card.
    Thanks for sharing!

  11. Wow! First I have to let my eyes clear before I can write! Children are so precious and an adopted child is so special, thanks for sharing. Your BD cards are wonderful, so much detail. Love all your creations!

  12. Love the scene you made for the first card, love the balloon tied to the handle bars, that tractor card is just too cute and I love those hearts on the tree, great idea with stamping the design on the tree!

  13. Beautiful cards and such a sweet photo! Thanks so much for joining us for the “Birthday” challenge at Dies R Us! Please come back soon!:-)

  14. Hi Pam! TFS the picture of your grand kids, so cute! Love your sweet card and your video too. Would love to see a picture of you and all your grand kids together.

  15. Oh Pam what an adorable story and picture. I know you are so blessed to have all your grandchildren and they are blessed to have you. Now off to see what you’ve been creating – haven’t been blog hopping in sadly over 7 months.

I love hearing from you! Thank YOU!
