poppystamps Bridge Fold Card and Memory Box tag…

Here we are at countdown week and I’m just ‘elfing” away here! Lots of fun to create still!  eek! I wanted to share a couple things today though and hopefully be back with more!

I love making these Bridge Fold cards with the poppystamps or Memory Box frames on the front.

For this one, I used poppystamps Pine Needle Clearing die cut from Neenah 110# Solar White cardstock and inked with Peeled Paint Distress ink and an ink blending tool.

I die cut the Memory Box Small Winter Sled from the same white cardstock and colored it with Copics (E40’s, E07) and a silver gel pen. I die cut poppystamps Poinsettia Mini from the same white cardstock and colored the largest with Copic YG67 and the smaller two with Copic R46.

The fence is from the Memory Box Open Studio Fanciful Fences die set. Again die cut in the same white and I just left it white.

The house is poppystamps new Classic Cottage die, cut from the same white and colored with Copics too, E07, E47, E81, E83, T3 and T5.

Two snow hills cut with the Memory Box Stitched Curves die set. Same white cardstock.

In the very back you’ll see the new poppystamps Tree Trunks die.  I cut it in white also and colored it with Copics E44 and 47.

Then there is this super cute new Surprise Deer die, new from poppystamps too.  I die cut it from kraft cardstock and inked the edges with Distress ink Gathered Twigs and an ink blending too.  I added a few white spot with a white gel pen.

here’s a photo of the layers..sorry, I forgot to change the F-stop to make it all in focus but I think you can still see….

The tree trunks cut is mounted directly to the cardbase with strips of  thin mounting tape. The fence and cottage are mounted to a snow hill. The deer (legs) are glued directly to a snow hill. The pine needles cut is glued directly to the card base and the fence is mounted to the top with thin mounting tape foam.

This is an A2 size card and folds flat to mail… I make sure it fits through the ¼ inch slot the PO requires for one postage stamp.

I mail my A2 cards in an A6 size envelope though.  I just feel like it protects them better… postage is the same.

One more photo!  A tag I made with the new Memory Box Build a Snowman die.

I played around with this last week and now I can’t remember what ink I used for the background.  I’m sure it was Distress but not sure if it’s oxide or regular.  Pattern paper for the hat and scarf.  Nuvo drops for his ‘coal’ eyes, nose and buttons.  I had a terrible time with the eyes, whew, good thing they can be coal cuz this was the third time! lol

Fresh Snowfall Nuvo on the snowflake from the new poppystamps Shiny Snowflakes dies.

The tag is an Avery Elle set.. I don’t usually mix other companies with ps or MB but one of the granddaughters had extra cut and it was just laying there and I didn’t even think! 😀

Thanks for stopping by and hope you enjoyed my card/tag and are enjoying all the ‘making’ of the season!  I am!

  1. All I can say is a giant WOW for your reindeer bridge card, Pam! I could never ever create something like that in a million years! And your snowman tag is just precious! Happy Holiday Hugs! Darnell

  2. I’ve always wondered what size that slot was that they use to check cards for mailing. Thanks for the info on that! I love your 3D cards! So creative! Super cute tag too! Question on the tag – what did you use on the snowman’s hat brim and snowball? Have a very Merry Christmas Pam!!

  3. WOW!! Just WOW!! That is absolutely STUNNING!! You are making me want to put all of my coloring away and make one of these! That is really so pretty! All of your layers and Copic coloring work together to create such a beautiful little scene!! The tag is just darling too, but I was already blown away by the time I got down to it! haha!!

  4. And more WOW’s…WOWIE!..love your Bridge card…a lot in that one…how about a tutorial for Bridge cards. I did see one for SU’s Hometown Edgelits. You got a lot of use out of many dies on this one…

  5. Wow cards again Pam. I have the surprise deer-but I have been looking at a couple of other ones you used as well. Hope you get to take some fun time over the Holidays. Merry Christmas to you and your beautiful family!!

  6. Very cute card and tag. Hope you have a wonderful holiday celebration. We got slammed by Hurricane Irma and have been living in a construction site for over 3 months now, with no end in sight. The house has been such a mess, we haven’t even gotten to put up a Christmas tree this year. Thankfully, our daughter lives close and has invited us there to celebrate. Our son in law is a chef and he’s cooking up quite a spread. It’ll be a fun day with them and our grandsons and significant others.

Sorry I haven’t been commenting lately…when I get a minute to check blogs, it’s a quick run through. I started my Christmas cards back in August, but Irma hit us on 9/11 and they are still sitting right where I left them back in August. Hope friends and family will understand no cards sent this year….just no time to get them finished.

    Merry Christmas!!!! Happy New Year!!!

  7. Pam you really amaze me how you can put all these die cuts together into one darling card! What a creative mind you have. Love the card and tag. I go back though your card samples and it’s hard for me to find one that I can make and really love. You are one awesome lady!

  8. Oh quiet my happy heart – love lovelove you bridge card – I “think” I just might have to try something like that. What a beautiful winter scene you have created. And your little tag is just too cute. Snow people melt my heart.
I am ready to put the Christmas stamps up and go forth with the New Years, then Valentines, Easter, etc etc. Thank you for bringing so many smiles to my year.

  9. What a beautiful magical card, Pam!! The pine needle frame makes me feel like I’m peeking into a peaceful and cozy winter scene or a story book. As usual, such attention to detail! And the snowman is adorable! I’m still practicing the nuvo drops. Kind of like icing a cake only not as easy. 🙂

  10. Another beautiful scene, Pam, you just do magic with those dies! How do you just whip out these beauties one after the other girl? Love your work, TFS! Wishing you and your family Happy Holidays! Hugs@

  11. Oh, my word… I can’t… oh, stop! You’re so bad for me! Your bridge card is the cutest thing ever. I wonder how many times I’ve said that, but seriously. All those dies make the most darling scene! Your inking and coloring brings such life to it, too. And your snowman! So cute that he’s holding a snowflake in his twiggy hand. I love whatever that crackly stuff is on his hat. So many awesome details. What fun you have! Merry Christmas!!

I love hearing from you! Thank YOU!
