MFT Warm and Fuzzy Birthday card…

Hi and welcome to a beautiful Summer’s eve campfire! This set is so cute, can’t believe it’s the first time I’ve used it.  The kids have used it but me, I’m the last one!  Now it’s retiring but we know there’s always more cute coming… You can still find it HERE and the dies HERE…hurry if you want them!

This was our grandson Cedryk’s 5th birthday card.  They live in the country and at night they’ll go visit the cows in the gator… the cows love to come talk to Cedryk! lol  Actually Ced talks to them and they listen!  lol

I used Distress Oxide inks for the sky and grass ink blendingwater dripped on and dabbed off for the faint spots in the sky.  Puffy cloud dies, you can find them HERE.

So cute!  Love that little hedgie!  I colored the images with Copic Markers on MFT  Sweet Tooth Card stock.  I have a little trouble with the copics bleeding on it but I like how easy it blends. A basic A2 size card.

Addicted To CAS Challenge – One Layer Card…

I’m so excited to be a guest designer over on the Addicted to CAS Challenge blog today! I love CAS, coloring and dies so I really enjoyed this! Thank you for having me ladies!

The challenge this week is One Layer!  I hope you’ll join us!

I decided to make a one layer die cut inlay card using My Favorite Things Beach Scene Builder Die-namics set and Lawn Fawn Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables dies.  All the pieces are cut from an A2 size white card-stock panel, inked with Distress ink and the ink blending tools, fit together like a puzzle, taped together on the back and adhered to an A2 card base.

I did go back in with Distress Markers to accent the embossed lines of the Palm Tree die cut.

The sentiment is from Printworks Collection E4730 Escape the Ordinary.  If you love beach images…you have to see what all PW has…lots of fun images and sentiments.  Check out the releases HERE.

The cutie little crab is from Lawn Fawn Palm Trees die set. I die cut two and glued them together at the very tip of it’s claws.  Pretty cute little photo prop! hehe

Simon Says Stamp Happy Swimmers Birthday Card…

I love these cute characters from Simon Says Stamp!  This is the Happy Swimmers stamp and die set, out of stock right now though. I linked it anyway. You can always sign up to get notified when it comes back in stock.  The sun die is from Lawn Fawn, the waves from My Favorite Things and the sand from Taylored Expressions but I’m linking you up to the poppystamps Stitched Landscape die set.  The sentiment is from another Simon Says Stamp set called Happy Block Greetings. Don’t shoot me!  It looks like it’s discontinued!  I just got it not that long ago.  Sorry about that. HERE is another cute set though…

Just a fun, cute card for Gena who’s turning 10 this month!  Doesn’t seem possible! She’s still a little girl at heart though and she loves hugs from Grandma, making cards, her chicks and kittens!  Oh and swimming! lol

MFT Birdie Brown Party Like a Pirate Birthday Card…

I think I know what they mean by the lazy days of Summer…you feelin’ it? hehe

This birthday card was for Jace, Rogan’s big brother, turned 7!  This pirate looks like him too… a ginger that loves baseball! I used the matching die set to cut the pieces.

I love it that Torico had this card in one of the MFT release classes, I just had to make it! There’s a pdf file and photos on the MFT website.

I used different card-stock for coloring this time and kept forgetting that it bleeds…so excuse the bloody mess here and there! lol

I colored the water, land and tree with Distress Oxide inks.  The sky with the MFT cloud stencil and Tumbled Glass Distress Ink and the mini ink blending tool.

oh, the wave cuts in the water are a Lawn Fawn die

Torico’s images are so fun to color!  Four more birthday cards to share and then I’ll get back to some die cutting and yes, CHRISTMAS!

Memory Box didn’t offer me any of this release but I did see there’s a design team call.  I did buy a few dies from SLS so I’m looking forward to using them! I have some ideas…hope they’re good! hehe

Two cards for MFT Camp Create 2017

My first card today is for Day One – Wonderful Watercolor.

I chose to use the MFT Bold Blooms stamp set and matching die set.

First I die cut all the flowers and then they went swimming. lol  I did the watercolor dip technique but instead of painting with a brush, I stamped the solid images from the stamp set onto the soaked, wet die cut, with Distress Ink stamp pads.

So much fun! Hope you get some time to try this WC technique…scroll down a couple posts and there’s a link to a video about it.

The sentiment is from the MFT Much Love stamp set.  I used the MISTI for all the stamping.

The scallop stitch rectangle die is from the MFT Blueprints #27 die set.

Tic Tac Toe – yellow, stitching, rectangle (bottom row) thank you for picking my card ladies!

My card for Day Two – Remarkable Resist is next…

First thing I did was stamp and emboss the background Bundles of Blossoms background stamp with a Versafine Black ink pad and Black embossing powder.  It’s hard to see the heat embossing in the picture because the lines are so fine in the image.  Next time I would use Black pigment ink to stamp it with.

I inked the background with some pigment ink pads that I’ve had for a long time and the little finger dauber things HERE.

I stamped and die cut the MFT Peaceful Wild Flowers stamp set and glued some down to the background and mounted some with foam mounting squares.

I used MFT Blueprints #20 for the Stitched Rectangle and the Stitched banner dies.

Pure Innocence Spring Friends and Rubiks cube birthday cards…

Family birthday time again…we had our party at the area lake yesterday afternoon for 4 family members.  Two of the cards I’ve already posted so here’s the other two!

I love this sweet Pure Innocence Spring Friend stamp set and die set from MFT stamps. It was perfect for our granddaughter Anya’s 12th birthday!

I used sentiments from Taylored Expressions Free Spirit stamp set, inked with TE Oreo ink pad and the MISTI stamping tool.

She’s colored with Copic Sketch markers and die cut with the coordinating die set also from MFT stamps. I stamped her with the MISTI and Oreo ink too.

I mounted the images on an A2 Top fold card base.

Seize the Birthday  Challenge – Anything Goes

Next up is the card I made for our grandson Lane’s 15th birthday. A handsome guy that loves to do Rubiks cube and is very fast at it.  His fastest time is 20 seconds! Amazing!

I used the Memory Box Modern Tile die to get my cubes, die cutting from  black and trimming out the 9 squares to make the cubes. Then I die cut it 5 times with multiple colors.  I just cut squares of card-stock so I only cut the required number of squares.

The sentiment on the front and message (you’re awesome) on the inside are from the Taylored Expressions Bold Brushstrokes stamp set.  A perfect set for teens!  Stamped with the MISTI and TE Oreo stamp pad again…love the bold black image you can get with multiple inking and stamping.  YAY MISTI!

MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge…

Hi everyone! What a week!  Beautiful days until Friday. Then BAM blustery Friday arrived! lol  I have a few Fall cards to post so I better get to it! and plenty more Christmas coming too!

I’ve been tempted for some time to get the color pencils out again, so with the Daily Marker 30 day coloring challenge I finally did!  So fun…coloring is always time consuming but I need to do this more so I get the ‘feel’ for it.  This was kinda an experiment! lol

I got a new pencil sharpener…wow…what a difference it makes for coloring! It’s a Dahle 133…you can google and find it.

I use Bruynzeel Fullcolor Pencils made in Holland but you can’t get them anymore.  Sakura bought out Bruyzeel and changed them I’m sure…one thing I know, my set of 120 is no more.  They are wonderful pencils to color with though and maybe they’d show up on ebay!  I didn’t check. Here’s what mine look like…and look at the lead on the yellow pencil… yes, that sharpener!!!

The pencils they have now are called Bruynzeel Design.  I’ll link up to them below just in case you want to order a couple to try. I love doing that. I have tried several brands and consequently I want ALL the pencils. HELP! lol

I love this cutie stamp and die set from MFT stamps…I hope he made you smile on this blustery weekend!

I’m going to write another blog post so I’ll have one tomorrow and Monday too…for sure!

Thanks for stopping by!  I’m behind replying to comments because we had our area stamp club Christmas party yesterday! Whew, I went crazy getting ready for it. lol Cards and soup!  A fun time for sure and guess what?!  We drew names for gift exchange and the gal that got my name knew I loved this stamp that she got last year and she gave it to me this year!  It’s an older Memory Box Santa stamp!  I’m so delighted to have it!  Our middle daughter has a collection of older cute Memory Box stamps.  I need to take a picture of them and share it here.  Then you can be jealous of her collection with me! lol

Thanks again – you are the best!  I am so thankful for all my friends that live in my computer and out! You’re the best!  ( ) ( ) ( )  (those are hugs)
